Wick: A Candle Bar is a locally owned business run by the mother-son team of Kris and Hampton Barnes.

Location

This new store is located in the South Beach Regional Shopping Center, adjacent to major retailers Home Depot and Nordstrom Rack. This move follows the success of the original Wick store in San Marco, which opened its doors five years ago. The Jacksonville Beach location nearly doubles the size of the San Marco store and features two Scent Bars!

The Process

Whether you are a novice or a seasoned pro, the friendly staff is there to guide you through the crafting process. Prices vary based on the size and style of the jar you select, ranging from $23 to $40. After choosing the size of the jar you want, you can then select from over 90 fragrances to create your custom-scented candle. The process takes about 45 minutes and involves selecting scents, mixing them, and pouring them into jars. Your candle can be picked up later in the day, giving you the opportunity to explore the area while you wait.

The Jax Beach location is open Tuesday-Sunday, with varying hours. Walk-ins are welcome, but for groups of four or more, reservations are recommended and can be made through their website, wickacandlebar.com.
